Associate Degree in Information Science And Technology
The Computing and Informatics Department prepares the students to be well-qualified specialists in the field of Computer Science and Information Technology in order to meet the high demands in national and international levels. Apart from the regular curriculum, the department organizes various technical seminars, workshops, industrial visits to the students for the purpose of exposing their knowledge and gaining practical knowledge to the real-world environments. Program Objectives
The Information Science and Technology major objectives are:
- To communicate effectively in English in diverse environments
- To have the fundamental knowledge of Mathematics
- To have knowledge of fundamental ethics and business concepts
- To have knowledge of fundamental programming & security concepts
Program Learning Outcomes
- Able to understand the core of information system (hardware, software, operating systems, database, networking technologies and many more)
- Able to solve real time problem using programming, applied mathematics, and the concept of the operating system
- Able to apply analytical techniques for implementation of an information system with respect to the user and data perspective
- Able to understand the basic concept of network, internet, and design of static and dynamic web application to organize the data
- Able to understand the process of software engineering to plan and deploy the computer-based applications
