Admission and Registration Requirements:

• Obtain the degree of success in Public Education Diploma or its equivalent from any country within the conditions and the approval of the Ministry of Education.
•  Fill the application form and attach the required documents such as:
• The original copy of the Public Education Diploma or its equivalent and the original mark transcript.
• Good moral conduct certificate.
• Copies of the candidate’s and his/her guardian’s passport or ID cards.
• 4 up-to-date colored-photos of the candidate.

Candidates must take a placement test in English, Mathematics and Information Technology, excluding those who have a valid TOEFL certificate with an average of NOT less than 500 points (or IELTS = 5) will set for mathematics and information technology.

English is the language of instruction at the College, new students who fail to achieve the required percentage on the placement test or who have NOT obtained a certificate of TOEFL (a total of 500 points) or its equivalent are required to enroll in the General Foundation Program. The GFP is an intensive program in English that aims to help students who are admitted in the College to develop their skills in the English language.

Prior to their academic study, weaker students need an intensive program in English which ranges from one to three semesters through which students can enhance and improve their proficiency in English.

However, a student can be exempted from this program if he achieves the required percentage on the placement exam. It should be noted that the GFP period will NOT be counted in the student’s academic study plan.

The college offers help for students in order to get IELTS.

It depends on the result of English placement test. If a student starts from level One, he will need three semesters (one year) to complete foundation. Otherwise, he can finish Foundation in less than one year.

Admission and Registration Department will contact the candidate within two to three working days to inform him/her about the results.

American Education system is flexible system where allow the student to elect the number of courses per semester with time that suitable for student.

When his CGPA is 1.99 or less

College plan has designed Associate Degree programs to be completed in two years, while student can finish within or less than two years when he/she registered in summer semester.

College plan designed for Bachelor programs to be completed in four years, while student can finish within or less than four years when he registered in summer semester.

Transfer from Mazoon College to Missouri University of Science and Technology (MST) is program called 2+2. Mazoon College students may study 2 years At Mazoon and 2 yeas studies at MST to get a degree. A student who wishes to transfer to MST should have got a minimum CGPA 3.5 out of 4.00. And others roles which are mentioned in the College Bylaws.

Withdrawal from the College

• A student who wishes to withdraw permanently from the College should present an application form stating the reasons of his withdrawal.
• The student has to clear all his financial dues before starting the withdrawal procedure and complete the exit survey form (provided by the Admission and Registration Department)
• The student’s application will be processed by the concerned departments and finally endorsed by the College Dean

A student studying in another college or university may be admitted to study at Mazoon College in accordance with the following rules and regulations:

• The transferred student’s college or university must be recognized by the Sultanate of Oman.
• The student should have a high school certificate or its equivalent. He will also be subject to the applicable rules and regulations of MC on the year of transfer.
• The transferred student must NOT be dismissed from the previous college or university for disciplinary reasons whatsoever. The College reserves the right to investigate the reasons and if he is found dismissed for disciplinary reasons, his registration in the College will be cancelled and he shall be liable for the consequences.
• The transferred student’s specialization is available in the College.

A transfer application form should be presented to the Admission and Registration Department to be dealt with in accordance with the admission and registration system in effect at that time in MC. The application will be forwarded to the respective department to take the necessary procedures.
