Job Title: Dean of the College

About the Role:

Mazoon College is seeking a visionary and experienced leader to serve as the Dean of the College. The Dean will lead the college’s strategic, operational, and academic objectives. This role is essential in promoting the college’s mission and values, ensuring the highest standards of academic quality, and fostering a culture of research and innovation. The Dean will engage with diverse internal and external stakeholders to advance the college’s goals and strengthen its position in higher education.

Candidate Criteria:

• Omani national with extensive experience and qualifications in higher education administration.
• Holds a doctorate degree in a discipline aligned with the Oman Standard Classification of Education Framework (OSCED), specifically within Management and Commerce, Information Technology, or Society and Culture.
• Associate professor with at least 10 years of progressive experience in higher education administration, including academic leadership roles.
• Proven record of successfully driving institutional growth and development.
• Committed to fostering a research-driven, innovative, and continuously improving academic environment.
• Experience in quality assurance and accreditation processes.
• Skilled in budget management, resource allocation, and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across diverse stakeholders and represent the college.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead strategic planning and alignment with institutional goals.
• Oversee academic and operational performance, ensuring quality standards.
• Drive research, innovation, and continuous improvement across all areas.
• Engage with external partners to strengthen the college’s presence in the community.
• Ensure financial sustainability through effective budget and resource management.
• Serve as the spokesperson and representative of the college in all external matters.
